October Round-Up From Andiamo: Podcasts, Projects & a Hint of What’s to Come

Andiamo Business Assistance – giving you the space to focus on what matters most.

Well, that’s October over and done with! Honestly, time is flying by — and yes, I know that makes me sound old — but really, where did the month go?

It’s been another busy and rewarding few weeks here at Andiamo Business Assistance, filled with new opportunities, creative projects, and plenty of the variety that makes being self-employed so special.

🎙 Podcast Progress

October saw me recording a few more episodes for Strings to Your Bow, which now officially falls into Season 6 — running into mid-2026! I absolutely love chatting to people and finding out what makes them tick. Every conversation reminds me just how inspiring it is to hear how others navigate the world of self-employment and small business ownership.

📰 A Little Local Spotlight

I’m thrilled to be featured in the very first edition of a new online magazine called RE:Connected, which celebrates all things local for anyone with a BD or LS postcode. It’s fantastic to see such a platform for community connection and collaboration — exactly the kind of space where small business support really shines.

💼 New Clients, New Challenges

I’ve onboarded two new customers this month, and it’s been a real pleasure getting to know their businesses and helping them find calm in the chaos. Whether it’s sorting admin, managing social media, or keeping projects on track, being a virtual assistant with Andiamo means stepping in to give business owners back their time — and their focus.

🎥 Learning Something New

In between client work, I squeezed in a training course on filming professional footage using a mobile phone. At the moment, I’ve got all the gear and no idea, but that’s about to change! I’ve promised myself (and now you can hold me to it) that I’ll start posting one video a week very soon.

🎨 Creativity in Action

Outside of business life, I ran a copper foil glass workshop at The Craft House in Bingley, with a little help from my niece. It’s always lovely to step away from the screen and create something tangible. I’ve also started making this year’s Christmas decorations and even booked my 2026 workshops — planning ahead never felt so festive!

🌊 Balance & Breaks

One of the best parts about being self-employed is the freedom to shape your own schedule. I took a few days in Filey with family and spent some time with my nieces over half term — a much-needed reset before the run-up to Christmas begins. Oh, and I’m still swimming regularly (determined not to cave and wear the wetsuit just yet!).

✨ Exciting News on the Horizon

There’s also some very exciting news I can’t share just yet — but I promise, it’ll be worth the wait. I’ll be making the announcement in December, so keep an eye out!

Busy doesn’t quite cover it — but that’s the beauty of running your own show. Every day brings something different, and that’s what makes Andiamo Business Assistance so rewarding.

If you’re looking for self-employed support or small business support in Bingley (or beyond), and you could use a hand juggling your to-do list, I’d love to chat. After all, business is better when you don’t have to do it all alone.
