Shifting Seasons, Shifting Routines: A November Round-Up From Andiamo

As we reach the end of November, there’s that unmistakable feeling in the air: the light fades a little earlier each day, the cold sharpens, and life naturally nudges us towards new rhythms. This time of year always feels like a turning point. Routines shift, to-do lists look a little different, and—whether we’re ready or not—we start preparing for the festive season.
This November has been no exception.
It didn’t get off to the smoothest start. I lost a chunk of time to the dreaded lurgy (why does it always strike when momentum is building?). But even with the slow beginning, the business has continued to move forward at pace—sometimes surprising me more than anyone.
I’ve welcomed new customers and said “goodbye for now” to others. That’s the reality of supporting start-ups and small businesses: needs evolve, seasons change, and sometimes the best thing you can do is empower a client so well that they no longer need you day-to-day. I see that as a win.
Along the way, I’ve learned a lot—new software, new sectors, new ways of thinking. I’ve pushed myself out of my comfort zone more than once. I even found myself back at my old university in Bradford, presenting and reconnecting with the very reason I ended up in the city all those years ago. There’s something grounding about returning to your roots while building something entirely new.
And speaking of pushing boundaries… I’ve continued swimming without my wetsuit. In November. Yes, I know.
Somewhere in the middle of all this, I also started prepping for 2026. That sentence still makes me pause. But when you run your own business, you’re always balancing the current to-do list with the long-term vision—and planning ahead gives me a sense of focus and direction. Something to hold on to when foundations wobble.
Of course, Andiamo isn’t the only thing keeping me busy. Gracie Glass continues to grow beautifully alongside it, and with the festive period fast approaching, orders for gifts and decorations have kept me on my toes every weekend. It is a lot. But it’s manageable, it’s worth it, and—most importantly—it’s fun.
November has been full: full of challenges, full of learning, full of growth.
As we move into December, I’m embracing the shift in pace and looking forward to what the end of the year has in store.
Here’s to cold swims, scented candles, seasons and continuing to move forward one step at a time.
Andiamo! x
